Consultation system/therapeutic strategies In the Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery, the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases in the maxillary/oral areas, such as tumors in the oral area, cysts, trauma, inflammation, temporomandibular joint diseases, jaw deformities, and impacted wisdom tooth, are performed under guidance by instructors and specialists in oral surgery. Furthermore, advanced, safe, dental/oral surgical care is provided in cooperation with regional hospitals. Fields of expertise Jaw/alveolar ridge and masticatory function reconstruction Autologous bone transplantation to the jaw before dental implant treatment is performed. In patients with a low bone height of the jaw, lumbar or oral jaw bones are collected, and transplanted to the insufficient site of insufficiency, facilitating implant treatment. Jaw deformities Concerning surgery for jaw deformities, team practice is conducted in cooperation with specialists in orthodontics.
