That is why safety is prioritized in all of our operations day and night.We capitalize on the merits of both methods to contribute to the stable supply of fuel oil. Safety Management Framework of the JOT Group The Safety Secretariat at each Group company actively develops safety activities based on the safety policies and action plans established by the Group Safety Planning Headquarters.  Safety Slogan Safety 1st is at the Center of Our Work. The JOT Group displays “Safety 1st” as a uniform Group safety logo on containers, tanker trucks, and all transportation equipment. We always keep safety in mind to provide safety and reliability to our customers. We will comply with all laws and regulations and put safety first even in basic tasks. We will ensure a rapid and thorough contact system. Safety Committee We have set up a Safety Committee made up of the people responsible for promoting safety at each branch, including the Safety Committee members of each department who ensure safety. The Committee provides a means to put in place vital safety measures consistently throughout the entire JOT Group. Safety Awareness  Months We have designated a safety month in summer and one in winter to raise awareness about safety and strengthen all of our safety efforts in order to provide safe and reliable services to our customers.Each business establishment rolls out active safety activities during these safety awareness months while striving to improve safety consciousness by displaying safety banner flags. National Safety Patrols We conduct biannual National Safety Patrols in summer and winter in an effort to prevent occupational accidents and promote safety activities on each site. On-site Interviews with Partner Companies We conduct on-site interviews with partner companies to cultivate understanding about the JOT Safety Policy and gain cooperation in safety activities. Driving Safety Courses We take advantage of external driving safety courses to establish a habit of safe driving in passenger vehicles. Management Initiatives: ENEX Transportation Safety Companies Displaying Exemplary Safety  The Japan Trucking Association is a designated organization that works to optimize truck transportation nationwide. The Association　has been operating the Motor Truck Transportation Operator Safety Project (G Mark)  as a certification program since 2003 in cooperation with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to evaluate and broadly disclose the level of safety at businesses providing truck transport services. The JOT Group promotes the acquisition of the G Mark certification, certifying almost all of its business establishments, to deliver safety and reliability to customers. Service Management We thoroughly screen the health, alcohol consumption, driver’s licenses and all other relevant information before and after transport.The JOT Group sees safety as its top priority because its mission is to provide high-quality logistics services that offer our customers peace of mind. Adoption of a System to Ensure Safe Driving and Support Operations The JOT Group has introduced a system that effectively ensures safety while driving and loading/unloading cargo to provide safe and reliable transport of the valuable freight entrusted to use by customers.This system constantly records using five cameras installed in the front, rear, right and left sides, and in the cab of trucks, which is effective as a measure to isolate the cause in event of an accident while driving or executing a task, and to protect drivers from any harm due to road rage. External Safety Audits We conduct safety audits of every truck led by the Group Safety Planning Headquarters. These audits review whether or not our rules and procedures are put in to practice correctly in a comprehensive “Safety 1st” effort. In the event of any grave accident, the JOT Group launches an Accident Investigation Committee to clarify the cause and examine countermeasures to prevent similar accidents. JOT Group: Safety Education The JOT Group provides safety education for office and transport staff to continually ensure safe deliveries and a stable supply of goods. Administrative Skill-up Training (JOT Group) This training seminar deepens knowledge about safety, such as the chain of contact, thorough initial response, and the creation of reports in the event of an accident. Safety Manager Skill-up Training (JOT Group) This training seminar brings together JOT Group safety mangers with the aim to further improve their practical guidance skills. It also provides a platform to comprehensively share information between Group companies for the purpose of promoting each Group company to establish an education system that provides guidance to transport staff. Lectures by Outside Instructors (JK Trans) JK Trans offers lectures to transport staff according to annual themes with the help of outside instructors as a safety activity using an approach that improves driving skills and prevents accidents. Supervisor Training (ENEX) Drivers Training Center Each branch selects a supervisor and holds supervisor training seminars to systematically strengthen safety training for transport staff.Supervisors from around Japan join together to develop active safety education programs. New Transport Staff Training (ENEX) Comprehensive Safety Training Center The ENEX Comprehensive Safety Training Center utilizes cross-sectional models and skeleton tanks related to fuel oil with the aim to teach operational knowledge and raise safety consciousness. Comprehensive Safety Training Center (ENEX) ENEX has established a comprehensive safety training center for the purpose of providing more thorough education to transport staff.We use the Comprehensive Safety Training Center to provide a variety of education divided into oil, high-pressure gas, and transportation categories.
